“Author/Presenter/Healing Consultant”
Paulina Van, PhD, RN, CNE is an immigrant from Central America and a descendent of generations of healers. She was licensed as a registered nurse in 1975. Since then, she has created a legacy with many firsts in nursing administration and education. She earned a BSN from the University of San Francisco and graduate degrees (MS and PhD) from the University of California, San Francisco. Currently, she is a Full Professor at Samuel Merritt University, College of Nursing in Oakland, California.
Dr. Van is passionate about her program of research—dealing with grief and coping after pregnancy loss among diverse populations. This calling to guide others from suffering to solace has led her to build upon her natural healing talents. She practices as a Reiki Master, HeartMath® Certified Trainer, Healing Circles Guide, and Caritas® Coach. She nurtures these talents with a daily commitment to various self-care activities, using multiple reflective practices. She believes that each encounter with another is mutually transformative and an opportunity for both to feel loved and valued.
My Book
These poems are addicting! The 100 healing narratives which emerged in the form of anaphoric, lyrical poetry will entice you to read each one until you are intoxicated, moved, and soothed by them. The poems are straight from Van’s heart and rooted in unspoken life experiences. There is no pretentiousness of passion, no avoidance of truth, and no prevention of feelings. The poems are all about self-realization, self-feeling, self-care, self-beliefs, self-vulnerability, self-consciousness, self-changing, self-improvement, self-control, self-confidence, and ultimately self-love that relies on God’s hand. One cannot help but be moved by reading these poems and drawing their energy of strength and love.
Thank you for your support.
